What we do with your details.

HONK runs Facebook and Instagram advertising for home improvement and home services contractors in the United States, and follows up the resulting enquiries by phone, text and email so those contractors get appointments rather than a list of names.

HONK is the controller of the personal information described here, and is reachable at gary@wearehonk.com for anything on this page.

When you fill in a form on this site or in a Facebook or Instagram ad. Your name, company, phone number, email address, trade, and rough average job value. You give us these deliberately, and the form says so above the button.

When you book a call. Name, email, phone number and anything you type into the notes, handled for us by Cal.com.

When you speak to Gary. Gary is software, not a person, and says so at the start of every call. Calls are recorded and transcribed, and an automated summary is produced. You are told the call is recorded before it begins. If you would rather not be recorded, say so and hang up, or write to gary@wearehonk.com and we will delete what exists.

When you message us on Facebook or Instagram. The contents of the conversation, so it can be answered.

When you simply visit. Standard request logs, and the Meta pixel described below.

Submitting the form is consent for HONK to call and text you about your enquiry, including by automated means. It is not a condition of buying anything, and you can withdraw it at any time.

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any text and the texts end immediately. Reply HELP for help. Tell Gary to take you off the list and he will, without argument, on the first ask.

This site loads the Meta pixel, which sets cookies (including _fbp and _fbc) and reports page views, form submissions and bookings back to Meta so we can tell which advertising works.

We also send those same events to Meta from our server. Where that includes your email address or phone number, it is hashed with SHA-256 before it leaves us — Meta receives a fingerprint it can match, never the address or the number itself.

You can limit this from Meta's own ad preferences, and block the cookies in your browser.

Only the suppliers that make the product work, each doing one job: Retell AI for the voice and messaging agents, Cal.com for the calendar, Resend for email, Vercel for hosting, and Meta for advertising measurement.

We do not sell your information, we do not rent it, and we do not hand it to anyone for their own marketing.

Enquiries and call recordings are kept while we are working with you and for two years afterwards, so we can settle any question about what was agreed. Ask us to delete them sooner and we will, unless we are required to keep something.

A copy of what we hold, a correction, or deletion. If you are in California, the CCPA gives you these rights explicitly, along with the right not to be treated differently for using them — and since we do not sell personal information, there is nothing to opt out of on that front.

If this changes we will change the date at the top. We will not quietly widen what we do with your information and leave the page as it was.
